We combined a business meeting after Christmas, with a glorious wander around Kensington and Westminster for a couple of days. As well as meeting close friends, the standout event was The Wallace Collection in Manchester Square, W1.

To be so close to a Rembrandt self portrait, a multitude of Canaletto and the most wonderful Gainsborough; Mrs Mary Robinson (Perdita) by Thomas Gainsborough, 1781 tickled me greatly.
The Wallace Collection is free and open every day – a true wonder.
